Financial Assistance or Funding
Students will either be funding their own training, usually having secured bank or parental support, or, will have been selected by an airline for full or part sponsorship.
As of June 10, 2005, Employees Provident Fund (EPF) contributors may now use their savings in their EPF Account II to fund and finance their own or their children's pursuit of the Commercial Pilot Licence with Instrument Rating (CPL/IR) Course. MARA also provides sponsorships to students pursuing Commercial Pilot License Course with effect from April 2008. Please refer to the MARA website (http://www.mara.gov.my).
PTPTN has approved Asia Pacific Flight Training Sdn Bhd (APFT), to be on their list of private education institution. APFT students are now eligible to apply to PTPTN for their financing, subject to eligibility and terms and conditions set by PTPTN. Please refer to the PTPN website (http://www.ptptn.gov.my).
Bank Rakyat has approved APFT as one of their panel. APFT students are now eligible to apply loan for their financing, subject to eligibility and terms and conditions stipulated by Bank Rakyat. Please visit the nearest Bank Rakyat branch for further details.
